GVA is a Swedish company which began its present operation in 1989. The company is today owned by the American global engineering company KBR but has its origins in the Götaverken Arendal (GVA) shipyard where the GVA series of semi-submersibles originally was developed. The GVA semi-submersibles have been further developed and refined and today's series include a wide range of units with displacements from 13000 to 130000 tonnes.

With experience gained from over 100 projects in more than 20 countries, GVA is the world leading marine and offshore design company for semi-submersibles and other floating units. Based on the experience of more than 100 engineers deployed within conceptual design, naval architecture, structural design, marine and drilling systems, we provide high-value design solutions to each project.
